BASIC RULES OF BEHAVIOR ON THE SLOPES

  1. CONSIDER OTHERS – Every skier / snowboarder (hereafter in this document Skier only) on the slope has to act in such a way as to not endanger or harm anyone’s life, health or property.
  2. CONTROL OF SPEED AND WAY OF SKIING – Every Skier must keep overview of the track in front of him / her. Every Skier must adapt the speed and way of skiing to the prevailing track conditions and their abilities and actual snow & weather conditions as well as to the amount of Skiers on the slopes.
  3. CHOICE OF TRACK – The Skier coming from behind has to choose a track that does not endanger the Skier in front of them. A Skier riding behind another Skier is obliged to maintain a sufficient distance so the Skier in front has free choice of direction, speed and way of skiing.
  4. OVERTAKING – It is permitted to overtake from above, beneath, right or left as long as you keep enough space for direction and way of skiing.
  5. ENTERING AND STARTING AFTER STOPPING ON THE TRACK – Every Skier entering the track or starting to ski after stopping has to make sure that no one from above or beneath is at risk of health, life or property.
  6. STOPPING – Every Skier has to avoid stopping and stay on the narrow or unclear parts of a ski track. If a fall should occur here, it is essential to move clear of the piste as soon as possible.
  7. ASCENT & DESCEND – A person ascending or descending the track must use the edge of the ski track.
  8. RESPECTING THE SIGNS – Every Skier has to follow the signs and respect the rules of behavior on the slope & follow the operator’s instructions.
  9. ASSISTANCE IN EVENT OF ACCIDENT – In the event of an injury every Skier is obliged to provide first aid according to their possibilities and abilities and immediately report the injury to the ski resort operator and / or to the Mountain Rescue Service and / or another authorized person (ski service, public administrative body) stay at the scene of the injury until assistance is provided by an authorized employee of the operator and/or the Mountain Rescue Service.
  10. SAFETY OF SKI EQUIPMENT – Skiers are allowed to use skiing equipment only if safe use is guaranteed by the respective producer of the product and the equipment as well as the skis/snowboard are secured so as not to be released spontaneously.
  11. EXTRA SAFETY – Skiers under the age of 15 are obliged to protect their heads on ski routes with proper ski helmets.
  12. IDENTIFICATION – If an accident has occurred on a ski slope, each participant, or possibly a witness to the accident, is obliged to provide: basic personal data to the Mountain Rescue Service, the ski service, a public authority or an employee of the operator.
  13. ENTERING SKI SLOPES – During the time of cableway operation, any other person except Skiers and persons providing assistance to an injured individual can enter ski routes only if allowed by the resort operator. Entering the slopes before and after the time of operation is forbidden due to danger of injury by snow-grooming and snow-making machines and their ropes, especially those with a cable winch.
  14. ORGANISED ACTIVITY (SKI / SNOWBOARD LESSONS) – any legal entity or natural person, that organize ski /snowboard lessons can carry our only if: the prior consent of the operator of the ski resort and organizator is obliged to ensure: that participants under age of 15 are wearing reflective safety clothing or visibly placed reflective safety elements.
  15. PROMOTIONAL AND BUSINESS ACTIVITIES ON SKI SLOPES – It is forbidden to use: ski tracks, ski routes and access ski areas for advertising purposes (e.g.: placement of sales stands, advertising equipment, etc.) without the prior written consent of the ski resort operator. Without the operator’s consent and valid payment permits, it is prohibited to carry out business or other profitable activities.

Every visitor of the resort is obliged to become familiar with: these principles and general instructions for behavior on the ski slopes. By entering the ski slope and / or by entering the resort’s mountain transport facilities, the following rules and instructions apply to everyone.

The ski resort’s operator reserves the right, in case of violation of any of the rules and instructions stated in the White Codex and the operator’s general instructions, even without prior notice, to prevent: a person violating these rules and instructions from entering the ski slopes, and at the same time to prevent them from using mountain transport services equipment on the specific day in the form of blocking the ski pass.
